Robert J. Sherman
Founder, Chairman and CEO
Robert J. Sherman (“Robbie”) is a London-based songwriter, book writer and producer and is the latest in a long line of Sherman family music-makers. Born in Los Angeles in 1968 to Joyce and Robert B. Sherman (of the acclaimed Sherman Brothers), Robbie is one of the youngest songwriters ever invited to join BMI and is an alumnus of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. His numerous creative works and projects include musicals, musical revues and a songbook as well as an animated musical feature film and print book. In addition to his roles at Sherman Theatrical Entertainment, Robbie is the CEO/President of Music World LLC and MusicWorld UK and the general manager of Music World LP (which oversees the Robert B. Sherman family estate and archives and includes one half of the Sherman Brothers and Al Sherman estates). Robbie resides in London.
Andrew Kaplan
Founder
For the past 30 years, Andrew has served as Vice President of Barry Kaplan Associates, a leading financial public relations firm for both public and private companies in the US, Canada and the UK. He is also a founder of A to B Capital Management. During his career, Andrew has sourced over $250 million for both public and private companies. Andrew recently served on the Board of Directors for several Nasdaq listed companies as well as for a TSX Venture listed company. Previously Andrew served on the Board of Majesco Entertainment (Nasdaq) and Waterproof Studios (Private).
Kat Portman Smith
Theatrical Production Advisor
Kat Portman Smith has worked as a producer for theatre and event production for nearly 30 years. As associate producer with Seabright Productions she worked on productions including: Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, Hardeep Singh Kohli and Potted Potter and Potted Panto. As well as working on their Festival Highlights program for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 2005 to 2012. In 2012 Kat founded KPS Productions and was awarded a Society of London Theatre’s Stage One Bursary for emerging producers. Highlights have included producing multiple national tours, sold-out Edinburgh Festival and London productions of …And This is My Friend Mr Laurel, a New York run of Playing with Grown Ups, as well as a London production and UK/Ireland tour of a A Spoonful of Sherman in 2018.
Since 2015 she has been the Theatre Manager at the EM Forster Theatre in Tonbridge, Kent.
